Mural Pricing and Styles

Every commercial mural project starts with a conversation. You describe the space, I’ll tell you what’s possible. From there the process is straightforward.

The Process

1. Inquiry

Fill out the contact form with your name, location, and a brief description of the wall or space. I’ll follow up within 48 hours.

2. Consultation

We discuss the space, the style, the timeline, and the budget. If you have reference images or a specific vision, bring them. If you don’t, that’s fine too.

3. Concept

Based on our conversation I’ll develop a direction for the piece. Most commercial projects don’t require a detailed mockup — the nature of calligraffiti means the final piece evolves on the wall. What we align on is style, color, and composition approach.

4. Execution

I paint on-site. Depending on the style and scale, most projects are completed in one to five days. I work cleanly and professionally — your space stays operational during the process where possible.

5. Completion

Final walkthrough, touch-ups if needed, and documentation. You’ll have process photos of the work being created, not just the finished piece.

Styles and Pricing

Every mural is original and painted on-site. Starting prices are based on a 100 square foot wall with materials included. Final pricing is scoped to your project.

Formless

Starting at $3,000

The most organic expression of calligraffiti. No grid, no structure, no prep lines. The letterforms find their own composition across the wall. One brush, one color. Fast to execute, immediate in impact. Works well in corridors, lobbies, and accent walls where you want presence without visual weight.

Additional brushes and colors available. Quoted per project.

Grid

Starting at $3,000

The wall is divided into a measured layout before a single stroke goes down. That structure gives the letterforms a density and rhythm that Formless doesn’t have — the composition feels intentional from across the room. One brush, one color as the base. The most versatile commercial option.

Additional brushes and colors available. Quoted per project.

Grid: 1 brush, 1 color, Kings Meat and Supply, Upland, CA

Mandala

Starting at $4,500

A circular composition built outward from a central point. The concentric ring structure pulls the eye in and holds it. Works at any scale — from a 10-foot interior wall to a 40-foot exterior. One or multiple brushes and colors depending on scope.

This is the style most associated with my public work across Orange County and Los Angeles.

3D Mandala

Starting at $6,500

The same circular architecture as the Mandala, with spray paint added to create dimensional depth. The inner rings recede. The outer forms project. At large scale the effect is significant — the wall stops looking flat.

This tier requires the most execution time and the widest range of materials.

Collab

Custom quote, starting at $9,000

A collaboration with a second artist who specializes in photorealistic portraiture. My calligraffiti forms the background and border. Their portrait becomes the focal point. The result is a piece that combines two distinct styles into a single cohesive mural.

Ideal for businesses that want a statement piece with a figurative element. The collaborating artist is selected based on your project and aesthetic.

Add-Ons

Every style starts with one brush size and one color. Additional brushes and colors are available on any tier and are priced per square foot above the base rate.

Additional Brush Size

+$3 per square foot

A second brush size adds stroke weight variation and visual contrast to the composition. Each additional brush size beyond the first is charged at this rate.

Additional Color

+$4 per square foot

Each color beyond the base adds material cost and execution time. Colors are worked in sequence — each one is applied and dried before the next goes down.

Example

A Grid mural at 100 square feet with one additional brush size and one additional color:

Base: $3,000
+ 1 brush size (100 sqft × $3): $300
+ 1 color (100 sqft × $4): $400
Total: $3,700

Final pricing is always confirmed during the consultation based on your wall size and selected options.

What Affects Your Quote

Wall Size

Starting prices are based on 100 square feet. Larger walls are quoted per square foot above that baseline.

Wall Prep

$2 per square foot, $200 minimum

Starting prices assume the wall has been painted with the agreed base coat color before I arrive. If your wall needs to be prepped, your facilities team can apply the base coat prior to my arrival, or I can handle prep on a separate visit. Wall prep is invoiced separately from the mural. Return trips outside Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire include a travel fee.

Elevated Access

Walls requiring ladder or scaffold access are quoted with an equipment and setup fee. Lifts for large exterior walls are rented and passed through at cost plus coordination time.

Travel

Projects within Orange County, Los Angeles and the Inland Empire are included in the base price. Work outside Southern California is quoted with a travel fee.
