Pinnacle Real Estate Group
City of Industry, CA

Pinnacle Real Estate Group was opening a new office and wanted the space to reflect where the company was headed. Executive Manager Tony Lamb brought me in before the grand opening to walk the space and identify where a mural made sense.
Two walls were under consideration. The front lobby was the obvious choice, high visibility, first impression. But that space was already heavily designed. Adding a mural there would have created competition, not impact. I recommended starting with the back wall and letting the lobby breathe. Tony agreed. That’s the wall we painted.
The mural is 13 feet wide by 10 feet tall. One color, one brush, grid-style calligraffiti lettering across the full surface. The word “Pinnacle” is embedded in the center of the composition, legible once you find it, integrated enough that it doesn’t announce itself. We worked through the color together. My initial instinct for a professional space was something more restrained, tan on white, gray on white. Tony pushed for gold. He was right. Gold was already running through the office design and the mural needed to match that ambition, not soften it.
The paint is Modern Masters Metallic acrylic. It shifts slightly depending on the angle and the light, warmer in direct light, cooler in shadow. At the grand opening, that quality was visible to everyone in the room. Over 1,200 brokers and city council members attended. Tony introduced the mural during the event, speaking to the quality of the paint and the intention behind the piece before introducing me to the room.

The mural was completed in six hours, solo, in the week before the opening.
